    Hi,

If you priced your wholesale to accommodate distributors, we are in Canada and would like to know more about Tapit. This second wave of microbrewing has staying power unlike the short lived one in the late 90’s.

Kindly touch base with any opportunities for distribution.

Is there a pressure relief valve or other safety mechanism to prevent the growler from becoming overpressurized?

Check out the video that I just got posted if you want to see it but short answer, yes. It’s set at 13 PSI, well below the failure pressure of a growler.

    hey there,

Awesome idea and would make a great gift!
just wondering how long will the growler last with the GrowlTap? Not sure how long CO2 cartridges last and just trying to see how much longer I could get out of a growler with this! thanks!

A properly filled growler can last longer than 2 weeks using the growltap. The CO2 cartridges last for 8-10 growler fills. Thanks for your interest!

I have a few 32 oz growlers. Will this fit those as well? Or does this only fit 64 oz growlers?

Sorry Andrew, it only fits 64 oz. and 128 oz. screw top growlers.

I was wondering if you could hammer down a more accurate estimated target date in November? I just ordered 2 of your growl taps and can not wait to be able to try them out.

I just received my GrowlTap yesterday and it works great so far. I have a question: Will this work with stouts on “nitro”? And what about using NO2 cartridges in that situation?

It doesn’t work with nitro beers yet. As a huge fan I am working very hard to make that option available.

got min ein the mail tuesday and just tried it out. unfortunately I can’t get it to work. I pushed the black button but the beer just barely leaks into the tube and does not flow out

David, I think the trick is to pour the first beer out of the growler the old fashioned way. Then “charge” it with the CO2, which will fill in that empty space, creating enough pressure to force the next beer out through the nozzle.

You don’t want to pour the first out the old fashioned way. That will allow oxygen in and wreck the CO2.

Is the CO2 cartridge fully screwed in? That can lead to a lack of pressure.

Robert, we finally got our Tapit to work…we didn’t have the CO2 tank screwed all the way in. It felt tight but if you keep tightening it will finally make a hissing sound when it releases the CO2…then your in business..yea! My husband and brother in law love it!

certainly seems to be tight as I re-tightened as well. how do I know if hte co2 is working since you don’t hear any noise?
I have tried to push the blacl button lightly as well as holding the button in for a seocnd. I have now resorted to just pouring the beer the old fashion way until I get a new growler
